Rules and terms of hospitalization

Hospitalization is carried out on the profile beds in accordance with the diagnosis of the underlying disease.

Hospitalisation is carried out:

1. under emergency indications;
2. in a planned manner.

EMERGENCY STATIONARY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED ANYTIME AND UNINTERRUPTEDLY

Hospitalization to the hospital under emergency indications is carried out:

• in the directions of ambulance brigades,
• in case of self-referral of a citizen to a medical organization,
• when sent by an outpatient clinic,
• when transferred from another medical and preventive treatment facility. 

INDICATIONS FOR EMERGENCY HOSPITALIZATION

1)acute diseases, exacerbations of chronic diseases, other conditions that threaten the life and health of the patient or the life and health of others

2) unclear in the diagnosis of the condition and cases in the absence of the possibility of providing qualified counseling and treatment in outpatient settings and at home;

3) state with no effect from the ongoing treatment and diagnostic measures (with exacerbation of chronic diseases with decompensation);

4) Other conditions that require an urgent additional examination if the necessary examination in an outpatient setting, taking into account the age and condition of the patient, is impossible. In some cases, it is possible to expand the indications for emergency hospitalization.

INDICATIONS FOR PLANNED HOSPITALIZATION

1) absence of possibility to provide effective dynamic observation and treatment of patient in outpatient and inpatient substitution conditions;

2) impossibility of carrying out diagnostic measures in ambulatory polyclinic conditions, due to the severity of the patient's condition and the lack of a diagnostic base;

3) exacerbation of chronic diseases (with ineffectiveness of treatment in out-patient-polyclinic conditions);

4) necessity to conduct various types of examinations or medical testing under stationary conditions (if they can not be performed in an outpatient setting) that require dynamic observation.

Scheduled inpatient, including specialized, medical care is provided to citizens in order of priority according to the Procedure for the provision of routine medical care by medical organizations within the framework of state assignments approved in accordance with regulatory legal acts of the supreme executive body of the Volgograd region and the health committee of the Volgograd region.

In the hospital, a waiting log for scheduled hospitalization (including scheduled surgical interventions) is filled in.

Hospitalization of planned patients is carried out through the admission department.
